Amal Clooney is a barrister from the United States and Lebanon, a human rights activist and philanthropist. Her birth name is Amal Ramzi Al-Amuddin. She is a graduate of Oxford University School of Law and New York University School of Law. Her long career has been praised internationally by her contributions to international law as well as in the area of human rights. Her most notable clients include countries like Armenia who were fighting for recognition of the Armenian Genocide in Turkey. Amal Clooney got engaged in 2014 and later was married in 2015 to American actor George Clooney. She instantly became an household name.
